Fog leads to multiple collisions on U.S. 78

Traffic is flowing again on U.S. 78 in Montmorenci after a multi-vehicle accident that happened this morning.

Drivers experienced heavy fog this morning, and at least six vehicles were involved in multiple collisions, which shut down a portion of the highway from about 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., according to eyewitness reports. 

Officers from the S.C. Highway Patrol and the Aiken County Sheriff's Office were on the scene this morning.
