A long-standing event full of treasures and wonder returns for its 14th year to the Aiken Center for the Arts this weekend.

ACA will hold its annual Antiques in the Heart of Aiken Show & Sale on Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. Tickets are $8 and allow admission for all three days.

Labeled as “one of the South’s finest antique experiences and one of Aiken’s most well-known events,” the show will host 22 dealers coming all the way from Virginia to Texas, according to a news release.

Past show-goers will run into restoration experts from prior shows while meeting new antique dealers.

“The dealers are all well recognized and have been specially chosen for their reputation in their field,” said show co-chair Jean Schwalbert.

American Brilliant Cut Glass, estate jewelry, botanical prints, clocks and Black Forest cravings are just a few of the items that are expected to be showcased.

Educational lectures will be part of the weekend, as well. One of those lectures will take place in the Brown Pavilion on Friday and Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m. Harry Robertson of Atlanta’s HG Robertson Fine Silver will speak on Friday from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. for the “A Cup of Tea and a Silver Spoon” lecture. Tickets to his lecture are $20 and that includes refreshments of tea and scones. Author Kathryn Greely will lecture on “The Collected Tabletop & Conversation” on Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m. Tickets to see her are $20, and she will hold a booksigning for her “The Collected Tabletop” book after her lecture.

Another returning feature is the Sweetheart Café, which promises to contain “many scrumptious delights,” according to a release. Lunch is served on Friday and Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and on Sunday from noon to 2 p.m. Drinks and desserts will be offered from 2 to 4 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

To preview and purchase show merchandise before Friday, a black-tie preview party will be held. Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. Tickets are $70 and are on sale now. A weekend show pass is included with ticket purchase.

Champagne, Southern desserts and live entertainment by pianist Jeff Scott will be part of the evening and will all be held on the second floor in the Brooks Gallery.

The center is at 122 Laurens St.
