Aiken Tech (8-10, 2-1 Region 10) eked out the big region win on Friday. Keith Crump led the way with 20 points, seven rebounds and five assists, while Maurice Strong led in rebounding with eight to go with 10 points. Ronkeem Strong rounded out the scoring leaders with 12 points and three steals.
The Knights will travel to play National Junior College Athletic Association No. 3 Spartanburg Methodist, undefeated on the year, on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
North Augusta 84, Lexington 59
North Augusta (13-6, 3-3 Region 5-AAAA) rode a phenomenal performance by TJ Sheppard to avenge an earlier loss to Lexington. Sheppard scored 35 points in the win, followed by Tavarez Hall with 17.
Lexington’s Mav Bishop led the Wildcats with 18 points.
The Jackets will travel to play White Knoll on Tuesday.
White Knoll 59, Aiken 58
Aiken (14-6, 4-2 Region 5-AAAA) held a one-point lead with 6 seconds left in the game, but a pair of White Knoll free throws sealed the Hornets’ loss.
Shawn Moore led the Hornets with 16 points, and Jordan Habersham had 11. Aiken will host Dutch Fork on Tuesday.
Strom Thurmond 56, Brookland-Cayce 35
Strom Thurmond (15-6, 5-1 Region 5-AAA) collected the region win with a balanced offensive effort.
Jasergio Kennion and Aaron Cook scored 13 points each, and Daquarius Johnson added 12 points for the Rebels.
Strom Thurmond will hit the road to play Airport on Tuesday.
Midland Valley 55, Gilbert 26
Midland Valley (14-7, 5-1 Region 5-AAA) got the blowout region win with a pair of double-digit scorers. Jaquan Hall and Javoddis Coach had 11 points each for the Mustangs, who will travel to play Swansea on Tuesday.
Wade Hampton (H) 58, Silver Bluff 55
Silver Bluff (10-8, 5-2 Region 5-AA) blew a 20-point lead and was up by 16 in the fourth quarter in the loss. Head coach Robbie McKenzie said the Bulldogs suffered a 24-5 deficit in the fourth quarter because they “couldn’t get out of our own way.” Donte Wright led Silver Bluff with 26 points, and Jalen Jackson added 12.
The Bulldogs will host Edisto on Tuesday.
Blackville-Hilda 60, Williston-Elko 50
Williston-Elko (9-8, 4-5 Region 4-A) fell below .500 in region play despite a pair of double-doubles. Justice Wallace had 21 points and 14 rebounds, while Kalief Freeman had 13 points and 13 boards. Jerry James had eight points for the Blue Devils, who will hit the road to play Hunter-Kinard-Tyler on Tuesday.
Wagener-Salley 75, North 52
Wagener-Salley (12-8, 6-3 Region 4-A) got three players in double-digits in the point column in the region win. Duane Davenport led the way with 15 points, Malcolm Stroman had 13 and Gregg Hicks scored 11.
The War Eagles will travel to play Blackville-Hilda on Friday.
Fox Creek 65, Hunter-Kinard-Tyler 51
Four players scored in double figures for Fox Creek (14-6, 9-0) as the Predators stayed unbeaten in their Region 4-A slate. Marques Sumner led the way with 19 points, followed by Brandyn Quiller with 13, Corris Cannon with 12 and DJ Curry with 11.
The Predators will play at Ridge Spring-Monetta on Tuesday.
Strom Thurmond 39, Brookland-Cayce 28
Strom Thurmond (11-5, 5-1 Region 5-AAA) rode a 19-point performance by Shay Widener to the comfortable region win.
The Rebels will travel to play Airport on Tuesday with first place in the region on the line.
North Augusta 56, Lexington 43
North Augusta (9-5, 3-3 Region 5-AAAA) evened its region record with the win.
Mallory Stone scored 23 points in the win, and Jasmine Coach added 14.
The Jackets host White Knoll on Tuesday.

Aiken (15-4, 5-1 Region 5-AAAA) kept its hold on second place in region with the victory.
Erin Gilmore led the Hornets with 16 points, and Monique Tyler had 10.
Aiken will host region-leading Dutch Fork on Tuesday.
Gilbert 51, Midland Valley 41
Despite three players in double digits, Midland Valley (5-13, 2-4 Region 5-AAA) came up on the losing end Friday night. Britney Campbell and Gracie Gunter had 11 points each, and Alexis Bates scored 10 points for the Mustangs, who travel to play Swansea on Tuesday.
Fox Creek 44, Hunter-Kinard-Tyler 34
Fox Creek (8-9, 7-2 Region 4-A) got 18 points from Dominique Moore in the region win, and Stephanie Bloedel had 13 points for the Predators.
Fox Creek will hit the road to play Ridge Spring-Monetta on Tuesday.
Wade Hampton (H) 44, Silver Bluff 30
Silver Bluff (12-5, 6-1 Region 5-AA) suffered its first region loss of the season on Friday.
Ashanti Brown had 15 points in the loss for the Bulldogs, who will host Edisto on Tuesday.

Wagener-Salley (1-16, 1-8 Region 4-A) picked up its first win of the season behind 18 points by My’Ondrea Landry. Morgan Foster added 15 points for the War Eagles, who play at Blackville-Hilda on Friday.
