The Atlanta Braves Country Caravan, presented by Academy Sports + Outdoors, will stop in the CSRA today, and ASTV will be there to document their visit and talk to the players.
Five members of the Braves’ organization will visit with wounded military members at Charlie Norwood VA Hospital in Augusta this morning. Scheduled to be in attendance at the private event are Freddie Freeman, Andrelton Simmons, J.R. Graham, Tyler Pastornicky and Bruce Manno.
ASTV will be on hand to see the Braves’ goodwill ambassadors interact with the veterans and take in their treatment facilities as they make their recovery. ASTV will also talk with the Braves on hand and get their thoughts on the visit, the upcoming season and bouncing back from last year’s loss in the National League wild-card game.
Fans can see the footage of the visit on tonight’s all-new edition of “Carolina Outdoors Presents: On the Sports Front,” which will be broadcast tonight, from 7-8. The Braves visit will be incorporated into the weekly sports talk show, which will still be taped live on location at Coach T’s Diner.
The Braves Country Caravan will continue to roll through the Southeast for another week. In total, Braves players, coaches, broadcasters and front office staff will travel nearly 3,000 miles to meet and greet fans prior to taking off for Spring Training.
