Advice on upcoming vote

It will be very interesting to see the letters to the editor submitted in the next three weeks endorsing candidates for County Council District 6.

If you pay close attention to these endorsements, you will be able to identify the candidate handpicked by the current county council and former council members.

I recommend that you not vote for such a candidate. We do not need another status quo puppet on the council. I personally prefer a candidate that lives in the rural unincorporated areas of the county.

The council is currently heavy with representatives from the cities of Aiken and North Augusta. The rural unincorporated areas need to maintain this seat on the council. Please consider voting for one of the two candidates who do not live in the city limits of Aiken.
