A Belvedere man was detained for armed robbery and assault and battery for his role in an alleged robbery on Jan. 7, according to the Aiken County Sheriff's Office.
William Keith Hamilton Jr., 26, was placed in the Aiken County detention center.
Officers met the 19-year-old victim at University Hospital in Augusta, according to a sheriff's report.
The victim told officers Hamilton called him and asked him to come to a home on Sanders Drive in North Augusta so he could “holla at him.”
The victim said he didn't think there would be an issue, so he went to the home, according to the report.
When he entered, a second suspect “rushed him while holding a shotgun,” and Hamilton allegedly punched the victim in the back of the head with brass knuckles, according to the report.
When the victim fell on the floor, a woman began going through his pockets and took several items while the two other men continued beating him, according to the report.
The victim went to the hospital with the complainant, who told officers she believed the suspects attacked the victim because of a burglary in which Hamilton was the victim, according to the report.
She added that Hamilton thought the victim was the person who broke into his home “and beat him up for revenge.”
A second suspect, 27-year-old Brandon Musgrove, of North Augusta, was detained on Jan. 8 and remains in the Aiken County detention center.
The victim was unable to provide further information on the female suspect except for her first name, according to the report.
