AIKEN, SC – Funeral services for Min. Charles E. Thomas Jr. will be 1 p.m. Monday, January 14, 2013 at Saron Baptist Church, Wagener, with Rev. Leander Jones Sr. officiating. The family will receive friends this evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Family and friends may call his residence, 110 Cedarwood Park or the funeral home after 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Thomas Children Fund. Survivors include his wife, Willonda Thomas; 1 daughter, Amya Toole, Aiken; 3 sons, Charles Thomas III, Aiken, Elisha Thomas-Murphy, and Uzziah Thomas-Murphy, both of Lugoff, S.C.; mother, Karen Knight-Thomas, Elgin, S.C.; 1 sister, Tonyetta Thomas, Elgin, S.C.; 2 brothers, Kenneth (Letitia) Thomas, Columbia, S.C. & Hayward Oakman, NYC, N.Y.; paternal grandmother, Mildred Thomas, Jamaica, N.Y.; and a host of other relatives.
