Strom Thurmond 74, Swansea 66


Strom Thurmond (11-6, 2-1 Region 5-AA) picked up a region win with three double-digit scorers. Daquarius Johnson led the way with 17 points, while JaSergio Kennion had 15. Ryan Williams added 13 points for the Rebels, who will travel to play Gilbert on Tuesday.


Ridge Spring-Monetta 89, North 33


Ridge Spring-Monetta (6-9, 2-2 Region 4-A) evened its region record in blowout fashion. Mike Jones, who led the Trojans with 17 points in Thursday’s win over Williston-Elko, scored 14 points in Friday’s victory.


It was Rafael Leaphart who paced the team in its most recent win with 18 points, and Travious Wigfall had 13 points.


RS-M will travel to play Wagener-Salley on Tuesday.


Wagener-Salley 75, Hunter-Kinard-Tyler 67


Wagener-Salley (9-7, 3-2 Region 4-A) got a hefty portion of its scoring from three players in an important region win. Malcolm Stroman (25), RJ Tyler (24) and Gregg Hicks (16) combined for 65 points to lead the War Eagles past the Trojans.


Wagener-Salley will host Ridge Spring-Monetta on Tuesday.


Fox Creek 71, Blackville-Hilda 43


Fox Creek (10-6, 5-0 Region 4-A) kept its unblemished region record with the win. Chris Harmon led the way with 21 points, followed by DJ Curry with 15.


Brandyn Quiller and Marques Sumner scored 10 each for the Predators, who will play at Williston-Elko on Tuesday.


Aiken 66, Dutch Fork 50


Aiken (11-5, 1-1 Region 5-AAAA) bounced back with a victory on Friday behind a 26-point effort by Shawn Moore.


Dramel Coleman also came up big with 17 points, and Ryan McKie scored 10 points. The Hornets will host Lexington on Tuesday.


Edisto 56, Silver Bluff 51


Silver Bluff (7-7, 2-1 Region 5-AA) lost its first region game to fall back to the .500 mark.


Donte Wright scored 22 points for the Bulldogs, and Jaylen Lawrence added 19 in the loss. Silver Bluff will try to get back on the winning side of things on Tuesday at Calhoun County.


Holly Hill 46, South Aiken Baptist 44


South Aiken Baptist (5-4) got 20 points from Josh Metzger but lost to Holly Hill. The home Crusaders were whistled for 25 fouls to the visitors’ seven in the contest.


In junior varsity action, SABC (4-4) picked up a 35-29 win, with Isaiah James scoring 17 points. South Aiken Baptist will play at Dorchester on Tuesday.

Ridge Spring-Monetta 44, North 23


Ridge Spring-Monetta (10-5, 4-0 Region 4-A) rode a 20-point performance from Ty’Miyah Tyler to stay unbeaten in region play. Ashley Perry added 11 points for the Trojans in the win.


RS-M will travel to play Wagener-Salley on Tuesday at 6 p.m.


Dutch Fork 55, Aiken 40


Aiken (11-4, 1-1) fell despite a pair of double-digit scorers. Erin Gilmore led the way with 16 points for the Hornets, and Hanna Williams added 10.


Aiken will host Lexington on Tuesday.


Silver Bluff 49, Edisto 23


Silver Bluff (9-4, 3-0 Region 5-AA) stayed undefeated in its region with a victory. Ashanti Brown led the way with 25 points, and Kippen Wallace added 13.


The Bulldogs will travel to play Calhoun County on Tuesday.


Holly Hill 55, South Aiken Baptist 23


South Aiken Baptist (1-8) got 11 points from Katie Michinan but couldn’t keep up with Holly Hill.


In junior varsity action, Melissa Luther scored all the Crusaders’ points in a 28-4 loss for SABC (1-8).
