BOYS

Wagener-Salley 70, Blackville-Hilda 69

Wagener-Salley (8-7, 2-2 4-A) took the lead late on a 3-pointer by RJ Tyler and held it at the free-throw line to even its region record.

Gregg Hicks paced the War Eagles with 27 points, and Malcolm Stroman added 16 points while Justin Gray chipped in nine.

Wagener-Salley will travel to play Hunter-Kinard-Tyler today.

Ridge Spring-Monetta 54, Williston-Elko 38

RS-M collected the big region win over Williston-Elko (7-5, 3-2 Region 4-A) on Thursday.

Leading the way for the Blue Devils was Justice Wallace with 11 points and 15 rebounds, and Jerry James and Kalief Freeman added 10 points, with Freeman adding 15 rebounds.

The Blue Devils will host Fox Creek on Tuesday, while Ridge Spring-Monetta will host North today.

South Aiken Baptist 59, W.W. King Academy 37

The Crusaders (5-3) made it two wins for the week behind a 22-point performance from Josh Metzger. Joseph Cash was also big with 15 points and 12 rebounds, and Caleb Bishop added 10 points.

In junior varsity action, SABC (3-4) made a move toward the .500 mark with a 42-14 win, led by Isaiah James with 10 points and Chad Burrell and Jacob Martin with eight points each. SABC will host Holly Hill tonight.

Aiken JV 43, Dutch Fork 40

Aiken (7-3, 2-0 Region 5-AAAA) stayed unbeaten in region play with the win. Devante Gaiters and Machi Provost each scored 10 points for the Hornets, who will next travel to play Lexington on Monday.

South Aiken JV 41, Lexington 34

South Aiken (7-1, 2-0 Region 5-AAAA) got the road win behind 14 points each from Kingsley Priester and Damien Brown. The T-Breds will host North Augusta on Monday.

Schofield MS 64, AL Corbett 22

Schofield got 15 points from Harrison Moss in the win and will play at Ridge Spring-Monetta on Monday.

LBC MS 41, New Ellenton 39

LBC (7-3) collected the win over New Ellenton (4-3) behind 16 points from Taylor Wade

LBC with host North Augusta Middle on Monday.

Kennedy MS 43, Ridge Spring-Monetta 17

Kennedy (8-1) got 13 points from Tancey Richardson in the win and eight points each from Najee Whosendove and Nick Clary. Quinshaun Jeffery had eight points for RS-M.

Kennedy will travel on play Schofield on Thursday.

Tuesday

South Aiken Baptist 53, Thomas Sumter 37

Josh Metzger led the way for SABC with 16 points. Caleb Bishop added 14 points, and Joseph Cash scored 11 points and brought in 15 rebounds.

In junior varsity action, the Crusaders fell 42-14 despite six points from Jacon Martin

GIRLS

Ridge Spring-Monetta 49, Williston-Elko 32

Ridge Spring-Monetta (9-5, 3-0 Region 4-A) kept its hot play alive with the region victory. The Trojans, who have won seven of their last eight, got 16 points from Ebony Hines and 14 points from Ty’Miyah Tyler in the win, and Ebony Corbett scored 12 points and hauled in 16 rebounds for the Blue Devils.

RS-M will next host North today.

WW King Academy 48, South Aiken Baptist 15

Katie Michinan did most of the work for SABC (1-7), scoring 12 points in the loss. The junior varsity squad (1-7) fell in a 15-12 contest and was led by Halle Moseley with six points.

SABC will host Holly Hill today.

Lexington JV 34, South Aiken 15

South Aiken will host White Knoll on Wednesday.

Dutch Fork JV 26, Aiken 24

Aiken (5-2, 0-2 Region 5-AAAA) got seven points each from Tyeshia McKevie and Taylor Trout.

Schofield MS 46, AL Corbett 13

Schofield (7-1) got 23 points from Destiny Williams in the blowout victory and will hit the road to play Ridge Spring-Monetta on Monday.

Kennedy MS 37, Ridge Spring-Monetta 1

Kennedy (7-2) got 10 points from Hannah Kinard in the win.

Tuesday

Thomas Sumter 64, South Aiken Baptist 14

SABC fell hard against Thomas Sumter, led in scoring by Katie Minichan with six points. The junior varsity girls also lost 28-20 and got six points each from Melissa Luther and Rebekah Holsenback.
