Another arrest made in downtown burglaries

Aiken Public Safety has made another arrest in the recent burglaries that occurred in the downtown Aiken area earlier this week.

Demarques Tremall Jamison, 20, of Aiken turned himself today and was charged with criminal conspiracy and accessory after the fact, according to Public Safety.

Officials are looking for Willie Maurice Franklin, 23, of Aiken for criminal conspiracy. According to a press release, Franklin is known to frequent the Lancaster St. North and Hahn Village area in Aiken.

The burglaries occurred early Tuesday morning in several homes located on Newberry and Lancaster streets.

Anyone with any further information related to this incident or the whereabouts of Willie Franklin is asked to contact Crimestoppers of the Midlands at 888-CRIME-SC (888-274-6372). Callers will remain anonymous and could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
