ADPS respond to vehicle accident
The Aiken Department of Public Safety responded to a vehicle accident that happened when a tire came off a woman’s vehicle as she was leaving a tire shop, according to a Public Safety report.
The accident happened about 5:40 p.m. Tuesday on York Street.
The driver told the officer she had just left a tire store when her left front tire came completely off and struck another vehicle, according to the report. She gave officers a receipt showing the time and service provided on her vehicle.
The victim whose vehicle was struck by the tire told officers she was crossing the intersection of York Street and Richland Avenue when the tire struck her vehicle.
The owner of the tire store was notified. He arrived on scene and told the officers and victims he would take care of all damages.
