Dutch Fork 36
Kingsley Priester supplied nearly half of South Aiken’s offense, scoring a team-best 21 points in the junior varsity basketball team’s 43-36 win over Dutch Fork Monday. The Thoroughbreds improved to 6-1 on the season in their region opener and will face another league foe when they return to action on Thursday at Lexington High School.

White Knoll 20
The Aiken High JV boys’ dominated White Knoll, rolling to a 53-20 win in the Region 5-AAAA opener. Machi Provost led the Hornets (6-3, 1-0) with 15 points, while Ben Riley and Marcus Adams combined to score 15 more. Aiken will play again on Thursday, when it welcomes Dutch Fork to the James A. Taylor Student Activities Center.

Dutch Fork JV 36
South Aiken 24
The South Aiken High School junior varsity girls’ team lost a game against Dutch Fork, 36-24. Emma Ardington led the Thoroughbreds (2-3, 0-1 Region 5-AAAA) with nine points. Deanna Jackson added six points for South Aiken, which will play its next game at Lexington on Thursday.
White Knoll JV 26

The Aiken High School JV girls’ lost a low-scoring contest against White Knoll, falling 26-18. It was the Hornets’ first loss of the season, dropping their record to 5-1. They’ll look to rebound when the play host to Dutch Fork on Thursday.
