The Horse Creek Historical Society will meet today at 7 p.m. in the parish house of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Graniteville. This will be the annual “share” meeting, and Kay Bradford will speak about her father’s experiences as a POW during WWII. Non-members are also invited.

The Aiken Guardian ad Litem Program will be starting a new training session on Tuesday and will run for two nights a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays) from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Guardian office at 5170 Woodside Executive Park.
The Aiken Newcomers’ Club, a club for women, will meet Tuesday at Newberry Hall, 117 Newberry St. S.W. Registration will begin at 10 a.m., followed by a business meeting at 10:15 a.m. The program this month will be Lauree Caldwell, RN of ARMC on Women Enlightened for Better Health. The community service for January will be a Salvation Army food drive. Bring non-perishable food items or a monetary donation. Lunch will be at 11:30 a.m. The cost of the luncheon is $14.
