Dogwood Stable’s Pazitively Perfect broke his maiden Dec. 31 at Laurel Park in a 1-mile race by 2 1/4-lengths. The son of Pleasantly Perfect is a half-brother to graded stakes winners Forest Camp, Spanish Empire and Mission Impazible.
The 4-year-old bay colt was purchased by Dogwood Stable for $100,000 at the 2010 Keeneland April Two-Years-Olds in Training Sale from the consignment of Ciaran and Amy Dunne’s Wavertree Stables, Inc. Pazitively Perfect was trained in Aiken by Legacy Stable’s Brad Stauffer and Ron Stevens.
Pazitively Perfect had run in the money in his previous 4 starts including consecutive second place finishes in his last 2 races. Jockey Julian Pimental rode the Christopher Grove charge to victory.
