An unidentified man entered the Walmart on Whiskey Road on Wednesday, put on a new pair of shoes then exited the store without paying for the shoes.

A man who reportedly entered the Walmart on Richland Avenue on Wednesday and filled a bag with clothing items, left the bag and exited the store when he was confronted by a store employee.

A vehicle break-in was reported to the Aiken Department of Public Safety on Tuesday. The owner reported a bag full of jewelry and a coat missing.

The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office responded to burglaries on Wednesday on Gibson Drive in North Augusta, Wagener Trail Road in Wagener, Willis Road in Ridge Spring, Senn Street in Vaucluse, Beech Island Avenue in Beech Island, and Bay Street in Bath.

A 40-year-old Batesburg man told sheriff’s deputies he accidentally shot himself in the abdominal area on Wednesday at his home on Old 96 Indian Trail. The man was transported to Georgia Health Sciences University.
