A 17-year-old man was detained for malicious injury to property after reportedly striking a woman’s vehicle with a brick and threatening to shoot the vehicle.
A City of Aiken employee told officers that someone threw eggs at two city buses while they were traveling down Whiskey Road on Friday. Another bus reportedly had hot chocolate thrown on the side of it. All of the buses were traveling near Dupree Place when the incidents happened, but none of them sustained any damage.
A 52-year-old Aiken man was detained for driving under the influence and gross intoxication after police found him stumbling in the road on Abbeville Avenue. The man reportedly exhibited signs of intoxication and had two bottles of liquor in his pocket.
A 17-year-old woman was detained for shoplifting on Saturday after she tried to take about $100 in merchandise which she concealed in a bag in Claire’s of Aiken Mall.
A burglary was reported on Carpenter Lane on Sunday. The victim reported a television missing.
The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office responded to burglaries on Joyce Branch Road in Aiken, Olive Heights Road in Graniteville, Russell Street in Beech Island, Outing Club Road in Aiken, Woodfield Road in Aiken, Old Lane in Monetta, O’Bannion Court in Warrenville, Lion Loop in Batesburg, Plymouth Drive in Aiken and Longmeadow Road in North Augusta.
Stolen vehicles were reported on Womrath Road in North Augusta, Atomic Road in Aiken, Augusta Road in Aiken and Cocoa Drive in Aiken.
Vehicle break-ins were reported on Callaway Drive in Graniteville, Hutchington Drive in North Augusta, Saddlebrook Trail in Graniteville, Silver Bluff Road in Aiken and Weatherfield Drive in Aiken.
A 23-year-old man was detained for disorderly conduct, after officers found him exhibiting signs of intoxication on Lillie Court in North Augusta on Friday.
