Pacers baseball 10th nationally in preseason poll

The USC Aiken baseball team is ranked 10th in the 2013 preseason Collegiate Baseball Newspaper NCAA Division II Poll.

The preseason ranking of 10th means the Pacers have now been ranked in 17 straight national polls. The Pacers were ranked inside the top-30 in the final 16 national polls of the 2012 season.

In total, USCA and Francis Marion are two of six PBC teams ranked in the preseason top-40 with Lander (26th), UNC Pembroke (T-32nd), Columbus State (26th) and Armstrong (38th) all among the ranked teams.

The Pacers concluded their 2012 season with a 37-18 record.

The 2013 schedule features 32 home games at Roberto Hernandez Stadium. The Pacers will begin the year by playing their first 17 games of the year inside the friendly confines of the ‘Bert, which include all of their games in February.
