North Augusta 64, Grovetown (Ga.) 54


North Augusta (5-1) got three players in double-digits in points, led by TJ Sheppard with a game-high 25. Malik Dunbar scored 11 points for the Jackets, and Christian Davis had 10. Grovetown was led by Logan Morris with 18 points, and Khallid Wright had 13.


North Augusta will play at Greenbrier (Ga.) on Friday.


Aiken 70, Westside (Ga.) 62


Aiken (6-1) continued its strong start behind a 22-point effort from Shawn Moore. Not far behind was Ryan McKie with 14 points, and Dramel Coleman added 12.


The Hornets will next play Saluda today at 3:30 p.m. in the Newberry Christmas Tournament in Newberry College.


Williston-Elko 68, Wagener-Salley 66


Williston-Elko (4-3, 1-1 Region 4-A) got a pair of double-doubles to top Wagener-Salley (5-5, 0-2). Kalief Freeman had 17 points and 10 rebounds for the Blue Devils, and Justice Wallace added 16 points and 14 rebounds. Malcolm Stroman led the War Eagles with 25 points, Duane Davenport had 16 points and RJ Tyler had 12 points.


Williston-Elko will play on Dec. 27 against Eau Claire in a tournament at Chapin High School, while Wagener-Salley will play Hephzibah (Ga.) at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday in the Aiken County Challenge at Midland Valley.


Fox Creek 60, North 53


Fox Creek (4-4, 2-0 Region 4-A) stayed unbeated in region play, thanks in large part to a 20-point output by DJ Curry. Chris Harmon added 14 for the Predators, and Marques Sumner had 10.


Fox Creek’s next game is on Dec. 27 at 11:30 a.m. against Hephzibah in the Evans Christmas Tournament.


Monday


Kennedy MS 52, Aiken 25


Kennedy (6-0) stayed unbeaten with the win over cross-town foe Aiken (4-1). Tancy Richardson and Korri Leverette each scored in double-digits for the Eagles with 15 and 13, respectively, while Jontrez Wise led the Gators with eight points.


Kennedy next hosts AL Corbett on Thursday.


GIRLS


North Augusta 53, Grovetown (Ga.) 38


Three players scored in double figures for North Augusta (5-1), which avenged its only loss of the season. Mallory Stone led the way with 14 points, followed by Arielle Houston with 13 and Jasmine Coach with 11.


North Augusta will play at Greenbrier (Ga.) on Friday.


Aiken 52, Westside (Ga.) 49


Aiken (7-2) defended its home court behind a 19-point effort by Erin Gilmore. Maggie Odom also scored in double digits with 10 points, and Hannah Williams and Sophie Nance added eight each.


Aiken will next play at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday in the Augusta Roundball Christmas Tournament at Laney.


Williston-Elko 50, Wagener-Salley 37


North 30, Fox Creek 20


Fox Creek (2-6, 1-1 Region 4-A) struggled offensively in their 2012 finale despite 10 points from Keiana Green.


The Predators will next play on Jan. 4 at Hunter-Kinard-Tyler.
