Thanks for kindness toward mother

I have been a subscriber to the Aiken Standard for many years and have included reading letters to the editor part of my morning enjoyment. I never thought I would be writing to you to express my gratitude for the unselfish caring and respect that was shown to my mother in her final years living in Aiken County.

So much has been said about the Northerner’s and the Southerner’s, but when it all comes down to the end we are all brothers and sisters. Dr. Danijela Zotovic, Dr. Ansermo Arthur and Dr. Nicolas Sanito: Thank you for your unending compassion and care you gave her.

I also want to express my gratitude to the Aiken Paramedics and Darryl Ables from the coroner’s office for being there for me at the end of her life. Thank you Carl Cole from Coles Funeral Home for your compassion and understanding for meeting the needs of our mother’s final wishes, and I don’t want to forget Father Peter Clarke from Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church for his guidance. I love Aiken and it has been a wonderful place to call home.
