Strom Thurmond 19
The Aiken High School junior varsity boys’ basketball team got a balanced effort in a 32-19 win over Strom Thurmond Monday. Machi Provost led the way for the Hornets (4-2) with eight points, while Antawn Chandler had seven and Jordan McKevie added six. Kyle Hill led the Rebels with six points. Aiken will return to action Dec. 19 against Silver Bluff.

Ridge Spring-Monetta 26
The Aiken Middle School boys’ basketball team improved its record to 3-0 on the season with a win over Ridge Spring-Monetta. Jontrez Wise led Aiken with 16 points while Ernest Rouse and Calvin Mathis combined for 11 more for the team that will return to action on Thursday against Leavelle McCampbell.
Kennedy MS 46
Schofield 42
The Kennedy Middle School boys’ basketball team beat its rivals from Schofield, 46-42. Kennedy (4-0) was led by Tresstin Martin’s 16 points, while teammates Tancey Richardson (nine points) and Najee Whosendove (seven points) also contributed to the win. Schofield (4-1) was led by Jordan Lytes’ 13 points and Matthew Drayton nine. Kennedy’s next game will be on Thursday vs. Paul Knox.

Aiken JV 42
Strom Thurmond 12
The Aiken High School girls’ junior varsity team improved its record to 3-0 with a win over Strom Thurmond. Tyesha McKevie scored a game-best 15 points while Raven Williams added eight points for Aiken, which will play Silver Bluff on Dec. 19 in its next game. The Aiken varsity team will travel to Johnston tonight for a 6 p.m. game against Strom Thurmond.

Ridge Spring-Monetta 3
The Aiken Middle School girls dominated Ridge Spring-Monetta. LaKayla Odom and Danasha Parker tied for game-high honors with eight points apiece while teammate Janaya Parker added seven for Aiken (3-0), which will return to action on Thursday vs. Leavelle McCampbell.
Schofield MS 40
Kennedy 19
Destiny Williams scored a game-best 27 points for Schofield (4-1) in a win over Kennedy. Schofield will return to action on Thursday at LBC Middle School.
