Roxana M. Maffett of Johnston, South Carolina announces the engagement of her daughter, Jenna Dawn Maffett of Johnston, South Carolina to Kyle Brandon Hallman of Ridge Spring, South Carolina, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Hallman of Johnston, South Carolina.

The bride-elect is the daughter of the late Jerry L. Maffett and the maternal granddaughter of Frederick Williams and the late Elma P. Williams of Gilbert, South Carolina, and the paternal granddaughter of the late Lamar and Miriam H. Maffett of Johnston, South Carolina. She is a 2002 graduate of Wardlaw Academy and a 2006 graduate of Newberry College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She is employed as a lab technician in the Metabolic Lab of Greenwood Genetics Center in Greenwood, South Carolina.

The groom-elect is the maternal grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. James A. Derrick of Johnston, South Carolina and the paternal grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Morgan C. Hallman of Batesburg, South Carolina. Mr. Hallman is a 2001 graduate of South Aiken High School. He received his forestry degree from Horry Georgetown Technical College and furthered his education at Clemson University. He is employed by Titan Farms as Packing House Maintenance Supervisor.

The wedding is being planned for May 4, 2013 at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Johnston, South Carolina.
