BASKETBALL

BOYS

North Augusta 60,

Lakeside (Ga.) 28

The Yellow Jackets (3-0) opened the game on an 11-0 run and won their game over Lakeside in dominating fashion. T.J. Sheppard had 18 points in the win, and Antaun Andrews added in 10 of his own. Lakeside didn’t have any scorers in double digits, though Marcell Williams and B.J. Raymond each had seven to lead the team.

North Augusta’s next matchup will come on Tuesday at Evans (Ga.) following the girls’ game.

Augusta Christian MS 36,

Mead Hall MS 17

The Mead Hall boys fell to 2-4 on the season with their loss to Augusta Christian.

Chris Brinkley had six points to lead the Panthers, while Ben Glligan had five points of his own. Mason Gibbs contributed four points and Griffith James scored two.

Mead Hall will return to action on Monday.

Hillcrest MS 24,

Mead Hall 19

The Panthers fell to Hillcrest on Thursday night despite Griffith James’ 10 points. Zion Glover had three points as well in the loss, while Chris Brinkley, Ben Gilligan and Charlie Maham each had two points.

South Aiken JV 35,

Midland Valley JV 34

The T-Breds got a win over the Mustangs on Thursday thanks to D.J. Perry’s 10 points. Rasool Clemons also had eight points in the victory.

Midland Valley’s Aaron Ray had 10 points in the los,s while Broderick Brown and Darian Battle each had seven.

Aiken MS 40,

A.L. Corbett 14

The Aiken Middle School boys picked up a win on Thursday over A.L. Corbett.

Lorenzo Davis and Calvin Mathis had 11 each, Anthony Tyler had eight and Jontrez Wise had six to lead the team to the win.

The high scorer for A.L. Corbett was Tre’Quan Frazier with eight.

The Gators’ next game will come on Monday at Ridge Spring-Monetta.

GIRLS

North Augusta 55,

Lakeside (Ga.) 41

Jasmine Coach had a monster game with 22 points, and North Augusta was able to move its record to 3-0 with a win over Lakeside on Friday night. Rosalyn Talley had 16 points, and Bria Baker had 10 for Lakeside.

North Augusta’s next game will come Tuesday at 6 p.m. at Evans (Ga.).

Pelion 40,

Ridge Spring-Monetta 26

Raven Valentine had six points and Ebony Hines had five as the Lady Trojans (1-3) fell to Pelion (4-0). Jessica Williamson had 14 points for the Panthers in the win.

Ridge Spring-Monetta’s next game will come on Tuesday at Saluda at 6 p.m.

Aiken MS 30,

A.L. Corbett MS 14

LaKayla Odom led Aiken with 10 points in its win over A.L. Corbett on Thursday. Madeline Hamric had six, DaNasha Parker had five and JaNayna Parker had four in the win. A.L. Corbett’s high scorer was TaNauzia Corley with seven.

The Gators’ next game will come on Monday at Ridge Spring-Monetta.

Mead Hall MS 27,

Hillcrest MS 17

The Lady Panthers got a win over Hillcrest on Thursday night thanks to Faith Kneece’s 17 points. Donna Andres had four points, while Kendall Johnson and Sydney Toole both contributed two points each in the victory.
