North Augusta (2-0) remained undefeated on the young season, beating its foe from across the river by a healthy margin.

TJ Sheppard led the Jackets with 14 points, while the Knights’ Kameron Mason had 10.

North Augusta will travel to play Lakeside on Friday at 8:30 p.m.

Airport HS 57,

South Aiken HS 43

South Aiken (2-2) couldn’t stay above .500 on Tuesday, falling at home to Airport.

Richard Davis led the T-Breds in a losing effort with nine points, and Austin Kyles had seven.

South Aiken will be in action at Midland Valley on Friday at 7:30 p.m.

Silver Bluff HS 59,

Fox Creek HS 53

Silver Bluff (1-2) collected its first win of the year on Tuesday, edging out Fox Creek (2-3).

Jaylen Lawrence scored a game-high 25 points for the Bulldogs, and Devyn Tyler chipped in 12. Deondre Baskett and Chris Harmon were the Predators’ leading scorers with 17 and 12 points, respectively.

The Bulldogs will hit the road to play Swansea tonight at 7:30 p.m.

Wardlaw Academy 60,

South Aiken Baptist 48

After leading 27-5, South Aiken Baptist (1-1) suffered a tough loss on Tuesday. Joseph Kass and Josh Metzer led the Crusaders with 14 points each.

In the JV game, South Aiken Baptist (2-0) collected a 43-13 win with Isaiah James scoring nine points.

South Aiken Baptist will play at Andrew Jackson on Friday.


North Augusta HS 53

Evans (Ga.) HS 36

Mallory Stone poured in the points Tuesday, scoring 27 points as North Augusta (2-0) won its second game of the year.

The Jackets will hit the road to play Lakeside (Ga.) on Friday at 7 p.m.

Ridge Spring-Monetta HS 35,

Saluda HS 32

Porsha Quattlebaum hit four straight free throws down the stretch to give RS-M (1-1) its first win of the season. Quattlebaum had 10 points on the night and made up for a couple missed free throws late against Strom Thurmond.

Shanquita Brown was next in line for the Trojans with nine points.

RS-M will host Batesburg-Leesville at 6 p.m. on Thursday.

South Aiken HS 46,

Airport HS 26

After losing to three opponents from Georgia to start the season, South Aiken (1-3) got its first win by topping Airport at home.

MaKenzie Smith and Kyasia Youmans each had 12 points in the win for the T-Breds, who will next play at Midland Valley on Friday at 6 p.m.

Silver Bluff HS 42,

Fox Creek HS 20

Silver Bluff (2-1) got on the winning side of things thanks to Ashanti Brown. The sophomore scored 18 points to push the Bulldogs to their second consecutive win.

Silver Bluff will be on the road tonight to face Swansea at 6 p.m.

South Aiken Baptist 37,

Wardlaw Academy 36

South Aiken Baptist (1-1) edged out a win over Wardlaw behind 17 points by LeeAnn Gossett.

In the JV contest, the Crusaders (1-1) got a resounding 35-3 win over the Patriots. Melissa Luther led the victors with 19 points in that game.

The Crusaders will play at Andrew Jackson on Friday.
