The Aiken Department of Public Safety on Wednesday and Thursday responded to vehicle break-ins on Dillon Avenue, Abbeville Avenue and Aldrich Street.
A 29-year-old Aiken man was detained for driving under the influence on Friday after being pulled over on Kershaw Place for not having a valid license plate.
The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office responded to burglaries on Cherokee Drive and Dogwood Drive in North Augusta, Ridge Crest North in Aiken and Atomic Road in Beech Island.

A vehicle was reported stolen from Seminole Drive in North Augusta on Thursday.
A 15-year-old student was detained for simple possession of marijuana on Thursday. A witness said the suspect reportedly handed him a receipt rolled around a leafy green substance but that he dropped it after realizing what it was. A faculty member saw the suspect pick the cigarette up again.
