United Way of Aiken County will thank some of its special supporters with a reception on Thursday.
The Young Philanthropists Society Winter Reception will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hotel Aiken, and reservations are due today.
The reception will allow United Way of Aiken County to show its appreciation to those who contribute and will allow members of the Young Philanthropists Society to network with like-minded people, said Lindsey Rosenlieb, head of marketing.
The Young Philanthropists Society is open to all those between 21 and 39 who contribute at least $240 annually to United Way of Aiken County.
Members of the Young Philanthropists Society benefit by increasing their community involvement, understanding the nonprofit agenda and engaging in meaningful experiences that will prepare them for community leadership, according to United Way of Aiken County.
It is a membership group of young philanthropists who are committed, through resources and time, to creating real, lasting change in alignment with United Way of Aiken County’s mission to improve the lives in our community.
This year, those attending the reception are asked to bring new or gently used coats, scarves and gloves to be distributed to partner agencies for the holidays.
To RSVP, email Rosenlieb at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 648-8331.
