AIKEN – Thomas Joseph Latsko, a resident of Aiken entered into God’s care peacefully on Saturday, November 24, 2012. Tom was born in Grindstone, PA to the late George and Jane Cunningham Latsko. A Gathering of Friends will be held on Friday, November 30 at 1 p.m. with a Celebration of Life Service at 2 p.m. both at the George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 211 Park Avenue, S.W., Aiken. Tom worked at General Motors Corporation for 37 years, retiring in his last position as Finance Manager for G.M. Racing. He was Number #31 when he played football at the University of Tennessee, but his love was for baseball. Tom enjoyed golf, the Pittsburgh Steelers and liked NASCAR racing. He was the beloved husband of Louise, and father of Thomas Jr. (Cheryl), David (Teri) and Jennifer (Brian) Goldman. Grandfather to Cassidy, Chris, Kenny, Lacey, Ashley, Brandon and Cienna; and two great grandchildren Grayson and Addison. Additional survivors include brothers George (Claudette), Paul (Sally), Jerry, John (Colleen), and sisters JaneAnn (Tom) Caruso and Marylou (Danny) Canas. Tom was preceded in death by brother Jim. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in honor of Tom to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105.
