An Aiken man was arrested on Saturday after he allegedly stole a bag of chips from a Gloverville convenience store. The subject was arrested on site after security footage showed him putting the bag of chips in his jacket.
A 19-year old Aiken woman and a juvenile were both taken into custody Saturday and charged with third-degree assault and battery after fighting, according to an Aiken County Sheriff’s Office incident report. After law enforcement broke up the fight on Oak Street in Gloverville, the woman reportedly told the juvenile she would “kill” her. The juvenile said the woman was punching and biting her.
A break-in was reported at Puddins Place on Wagener Road in Aiken Saturday. An unknown subject entered through a hole in the back wall and stole approximately $300 in cash and merchandise.
A window was smashed and a stereo face was stolen out of a car Saturday on Catfish Lane in Beech Island.
A 33-year-old Aiken man was taken into custody for an outstanding warrant through Barnwell County Saturday after the Sheriff’s Office responded to Angel Lane in Windsor. The man was reportedly involved in a verbal altercation over drugs being found in the residence and left when law enforcement was called. ACSO found the man had an outstanding warrant, located him and placed him in custody.
An unknown subject reportedly took cash from a residence on Angel Lane in Windsor.
An unknown subject reportedly discharged a firearm on Storm Court in Beech Island Friday, leaving three bullet holes in the front of a residence. Deputies located four spent shell casings across the street from the residence.
The Sheriff’s Office responded to Oxpens Road in Warrenville Saturday in reference to a shooting incident and found the victim, a 30-year-old Warrenville man, laying in his driveway. The victim said he had been sitting in his garage while holding his 32-caliber semi-automatic pistol when he dropped the firearm, it discharged, and the round passed through his thigh. Deputies agreed the circumstances and evidence were consistent with an accidental discharge, according to an incident report. The victim was transported to a hospital for treatment.
Vehicle tags were reported stolen from McDonald Street in Gloverville and from Carriage Hill Place in Aiken.
A leaf blower and hedge trimmer attachment were reported stolen from Sunfest Drive in North Augusta.
