Thanks for help with Woofstock

The Second Annual Woofstock Mutt and Music Festival presented by Friends of the Animal Shelter was a huge success for the benefit of our Aiken County Animal Shelter.

Thank you to all the dogs and their people who attended. The large crowds, celebrating their pets and supporting our community shelter were overwhelming.

Thank you to more than 100 sponsors and advertisers. You are so important to us.

Thank you to our six adoptable shelter dogs who came to Woofstock and were ambassadors for all of our four legged friends still at the shelter. Three were adopted and we hope more soon will be too.

Thank you to our dedicated volunteers. Our FOTAS achievements are because of you, our FOTAS family.

Thank you to our many exhibitors, vendors and demonstrators. Everyone was smiling at Woofstock due to your presence.

Thank you for the music provided by 4 Cats in the Dog House and Tony B. It was outstanding.

Thank you to our Aiken County officials for participating in our event. County Council Chairman Ronnie Young and County Councilman Scott Singer were great judges for our dog contests.

A special thanks to our youth who volunteered and who our community can be so proud: Aiken High School RJROTC, Silver Bluff National Honor Society, South Aiken High School Serteens and National Honor Society, and our essay winners and student judges, Sophia, Sofia and Christian. Aikenís future is in good hands.

Thank you to Highfields Event Center for the generous donation of the use of their fabulous facility.

Finally, the most important thanks are to Edie Hubler, our Woofstock chairwoman, who spent countless hours organizing this great Event. FOTAS and the Aiken Community are already looking forward to our next one.

Jennifer Miller, Joya DiStefano and Mary Lou Welch

FOTAS
