Norman James 'Mr. Bubba' O'Bannon Jr.
AIKEN – Entered into rest Sunday November 18, 2012 at his residence Mr. Norman James “Mr. Bubba” O'Bannon, Jr. age 63, beloved husband of 30 years to Mrs. Catherine Bryant O'Bannon and son of the late Mr. Norman James O'Bannon, Sr. and the late Mrs. Alma Walter O'Bannon. A memorial service will be held 3:00 pm Saturday November 24, 2012 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Aiken South Congregation, 4332 Whiskey Road, Aiken, SC., with Melvin Harris officiating. Interment will be private. Mr. O'Bannon was a native and a lifelong resident of Aiken County. He was a sliver handler for Owens Corning Fiberglass retiring in 1997 after 32 years of service. Mr. O'Bannon was a member of the Bean Pond Baptist Church, Jackson, SC. Additional survivors include one son, Joseph Fredrick; three daughters, Melissa Holmes (John) Smith, Aiken, N. Patrice Bartley (Christopher) Stovall, Augusta, GA, Denise Carter, Aiken; three brothers, Curtis (Nancy) O'Bannon, Augusta, GA, John Fleming, Fayetteville, GA, Bernard (Donna) O'Bannon, North Augusta; four sisters, Mozella (Henry) Bolton, Augusta, GA, Beverly O'Bannon, Beech Island, Delores (Sandy) Washington, Jackson, and Mary Miller Sacramento, CA; fifteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Elease Reynolds, Jackson, Marie Patterson, Philadelphia, PA and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. O'Bannon was predeceased by one brother, Joe Reynolds and one sister, Lottie O'Bannon. COLE FUNERAL HOME 1544 UNIVERSITY PARKWAY (118 BYPASS) AIKEN, SC. 803-648-7175.
