Dark Hollow Farm’s Joy will be aiming for her first stakes victory Saturday in the 7-furlong Gin Talking Stakes at Laurel Park. The juvenile daughter of Pure Prize will break from post position no. 7 in the field of 10 entries, will carry 121 pounds, and is 10/1 on the morning-line.
Joy was broken and trained in Aiken by Tim and Cary Frommer. The chestnut filly will be ridden by Jockey Jeremy Rose, and is conditioned by trainer Graham Motion.
A winner in her last start, Joy scored a 3/4-length victory in a 1-mile madien special weight race at Laurel Park on Nov. 2.
The filly last worked on Oct. 25 at Fair Hill, breezing a half-mile in 52 1/5 seconds. Joy has 1 win and has placed third once in 3 lifetime starts.
