A Wagener man on Tuesday became the 10th arrest resulting from a drug raid by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office last week.
Marvin Ricky Johnson, 45, of the 1600 block of Wagener Trail Road, was arrested at his home and charged with two counts of manufacture/distribution of cocaine base. He was placed in the Aiken County detention center.
Johnson’s arrest was the result of a raid on Friday night in Aiken’s Shiloh Heights area that netted nine arrests with a variety of charges, according to Sgt. Jason Feemster.
The Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit and SWAT team executed the warrants on a mobile home in T&S Trailer Park and a home on the 100 block of Hillview Circle.
The warrants were obtained after an investigation led to several controlled purchases of crack cocaine that were made at the two locations simultaneously, deputies said.
The S.C. Department of Social Services also responded to the scene and placed two children that were in one of the homes in the care of family members, according to reports.
Also seized in the operation were a firearm, several grams of cocaine, marijuana, controlled prescription pills and more than $6,000.
