The 25th annual North Augusta Christmas Tour of Homes, sponsored by Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, is scheduled for Dec. 7 and 8.
A candlelight tour will be held on Dec. 7, from 5:30 until 9:30 p.m. The tour hours for Dec. 8 are 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. The tour will feature homes decorated for the holidays, located in the River Club, Hammond’s Ferry, Old Towne, River Oak, Oak Creek and Andrews Branch.
In addition to the homes, Hammond Hill Elementary School is celebrating its 60th anniversary and will be on tour as well at the Arts and Heritage Center of North Augusta. The Gift Shop, which promotes the consigned works of local artists, will be open. Refreshments will be served, and restrooms will be available in the lobby.
Advance tickets for the tour may be purchased for $20 until 3 p.m. on Dec. 3. Tickets will be on sale at Jim Bush Flower Shop, Communigraphics and Parks Pharmacy. On the days of the tour, tickets may be purchased at any tour stop for $25. Each person must have a ticket, even children in arms.
On Dec. 8, a brunch and fashion show will be held at 10 a.m. at American Legion Jesse C. Lynch Memorial Post 71, 333 East Spring Grove Ave., North Augusta. The museum will be open for viewing, as well. Tickets are $10 and must be purchased in advance by Dec. 5. The fashions will be provided by White House Black Market.
Beta Sigma Phi uses the majority of the proceeds from the tour to fund scholarships to North Augusta High School seniors, with the balance going to North Augusta PAL Boxing Club, North Augusta School Wish List and other North Augusta charities.
