Edward B. ‘Jake’ Heath
WARRENVILLE, S.C. – Mr. Edward B. “Jake” Heath, 75, of Warrenville, SC, beloved husband of fifty-three years to Mrs. Gwendolyn B. “Corky” Heath, entered into rest on Wednesday, November 14th, 2012. Born in and a lifelong resident of Aiken County, SC, he was a son of the late Harry and Ruth Richardson Heath. He retired from the Woodhead Division of the Graniteville Company. Jake enjoyed hunting and fishing but more than anything, he enjoyed gardening. In addition to his wife, family members include a son, Richard Heath, (Julie) Aiken, SC; siblings, Elizabeth Shuford, (James) New Ellenton, SC, Albert Heath, (Donna) Alcolu, SC and Gene Heath, (Terri) North Augusta, SC; grandchildren, Ashley, Andrea, Corey and Emily Heath and a great-grandson, Kaine Wiley. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 17th, 2012, at 11 o’clock in the Talatha Baptist Church Cemetery, Aiken, SC, with Rev. Cliff Binion officiating. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Pentecost United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 578 Warrenville, SC 29851. Pallbearers will be Jerry Hatcher, Mike Ingram, Tim Johann, Rusty Magness, Larry Hair and Cubby Heath. Friends are welcome to call at the family residence. The family will greet friends on (tonight) Friday, November 16th, 2012, from 6 until 8 o’clock at Hatcher Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Langley, SC.
