I was astonished to read about people complaining about waiting in line up to two hours to vote. It is a shame their creature comforts were frustrated.
When I think of all the veterans in all the wars who sacrificed to ensure our right to vote, it makes me mad. We should be honored to stand in line for five hours, if that’s what it takes to thank those brave individuals.
I would rather wait in line patiently for hours than lie in fox hole for the same time or lie in an open field waiting for a medic.
We have enough Americans now who refuse to vote no matter how high the stakes. Voting should be an inspiring event that fills each individual with a warm glow that they live in the best country the world has ever known. Waiting in line is a ridiculously small price to pay for such a great bargain.
