A $15,000 ring was reported missing from a room at The Willcox, according to the Aiken Department of Public Safety. The owner reportedly placed her rings and jewelry on the television, then left to get her hair done. Her husband, who had also left the room for a while, returned to find the ring missing.

Shoplifting incidents were reported at stores on Richland Avenue and York Street.

Three vehicle break-ins were reported at Aiken School of Cosmetology on Richland Avenue. An additional break-in was reported on Poplar Place.

The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office received reports of stolen vehicles on Edgefield Highway in Aiken, Belvedere-Clearwater Road in North Augusta and Wire Road in Aiken.

A 23-year-old North Augusta woman was detained for driving under the influence, after being pulled over by sheriff’s deputies for failing to maintain lane control.

Burglaries were reported on Luke Bridge Road in Trenton, Washington Road in Wagener and Barway Drive in Aiken.
