A 32-year-old Beech Island man is in custody after he was stopped Sunday morning for “erratic driving,” according to an incident report from the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office. The man was charged with driving left of center, having an open container and transporting legal liquor unlawfully.
A car was reportedly broken into on Westmont Drive in Aiken, and a handbag containing identification, bank cards and check books was stolen.
A burglary was reported at a Sheephead Path residence in Aiken Friday. A flat-screen television, jewelry and medication were stolen.
A Beech Island man was charged with DUI Friday after law enforcement observed him driving 87 mph in a 55 mph zone and failing to maintain lane.
