Two men have been arrested and charged following a Saturday night shooting in Bath.

David Rosier, 45, of Nicholson Road in Trenton, has been charged with murder in the death of Donnie James Davis, 20, of 181 Dixie Clay Road in Warrenville.

Joseph “Joshua” Rosier, 21, also of Nicholson Road, has been charged with assault and battery due to an altercation that occurred just prior to the shooting.

Police and witnesses said David Rosier shot and killed Donnie James Davis, 20, of 181 Dixie Clay Road in Warrenville, in the face at the Church Street.

An Aiken County Sheriff's deputy responded to the shooting incident at a home at 56 Church St. in Bath at about 10:30 Saturday night, according to an incident report, where police found Davis dead inside the home.

Russell Dean Blackmon, 33, lives at the Church Street home, the report stated. He and another witness reported that David and Joshua Rosier came to the Bath home and the incident ensued, police said.

One of the witnesses at the home told police David Rosier shot Davis in the face with a handgun, the report stated, and then left the home with Joshua Rosier in a green Ford Explorer.

An autopsy for Davis is scheduled in Newberry today.
