Willie Nelson coming to Augusta

The legendary country music, singer-songwriter, Willie Nelson, returns to Augusta’s Bell Auditorium with special guest Lukas Nelson on Dec. 4 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. online at georgialinatix.com, by phone 877-4AUGTIX and the Champion’s Box Office at the James Brown Arena. Prices are $87, $67, $47 and $37.

Nelson, known for his classic ballads, autobiographical road songs, and catchy rhythms, uses a variety of music styles to create his own blend of country music. His “unique sound,” which uses a “relaxed, behind-the-beat singing style and gut-string guitar,” and his “nasal voice and jazzy, off-center phrasing,” has been responsible for his wide appeal, and has made him a “vital icon in country music,” influencing the “new country, new traditionalist, and alternative country movements, according to media reports.
