TruTV’s “Lizard Lick Towing” fans and gun and knife collectors, get ready for some wonderful news.

Bobby Brantley from the show will be part of GunRunner Shows’ biannual Aiken Gun and Knife Show on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the H. Odell Weeks Activities Center.

The show follows Brantley, Ron and Amy Shirley as they tow and repossess vehicles – and deal with the irritated clients attached to those vehicles – around Lizard Lick, N.C.

“We bring him in a lot,” said Larry Steverson, GunRunner Shows CEO and president.

The reason? He brings in a crowd, Steverson said, as he recalled a show that ran more than two hours because of the line waiting to meet Brantley.

Brantley will be available to sign autographs and take photos with his fans and will be selling T-shirts, decals and photographs.

While Brantley is an attraction, the merchandise draws in a crowd all on its own.

“There’s something for everybody,” Steverson said.

Besides the various guns and knives, military equipment, holsters, flashlights, ammo, jewelry and airsoft guns are some of the items that will fill the gyms.

Preppers will give seminars, and a gun safety lesson will be held on Sunday.

Tickets are $8, but there is free admission for those 11 and younger.

Brantley has grown a relationship with Steverson and his wife through the shows.

“He’s like a brother to us,” Steverson said. “We became instant friends with him.”

Al’s Family Restaurant in North Augusta is a sponsor of the show.

The previous show in Aiken was in April, and Steverson predicts they will keep the same schedule next year.
