The Aiken Christian Women's Network is holding its annual Autumn Country Fair offering tasty treats, fellowship and a special message about relationships that will be shared by its featured speaker.
The event will include more than a dozen vendors, home-baked goods and speaker Sharon Cicardo, who will be traveling from Louisville, Ky., to offer her story titled, “Relationships: It's who you know that counts.” Cicardo has spoken at various events around the country from Virginia to New Mexico.
“I'm very excited, very excited,” Cicardo said, stating she hasn't been to Aiken before and is looking forward to some possible warmer temperatures.
Cicardo will be sharing some of her personal and, at times, very trying experiences throughout her life regarding relationships, including those within her own family. Cicardo found the answers to these difficult circumstances through her relationship with God.
When asked what keeps her on the road to share her story, Cicardo said, “It's my love for the Lord.”
Cicardo, and her husband Dave, have led a 21-month, college-level Bible study with the goal of preparing individuals for Christian leadership in their churches and community. They have two grown children and two grandchildren.
Vendors will include Pampered Chef, Scentsy (candles), Michele's Cupcakes, Michi Bags, Thirty One, Popparazzi Jewelry, BeautiControl Make-up, Willow House, Village 2 World, Tastefully Yours, Premier Jewelry, Bubbles and Bishops Children's Clothing, Changes Day Spa, Sassy Knitters and Life for Children.
Network members said it's a great opportunity to start some holiday shopping.
The event will be held Oct. 23 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Woodside Plantation Country Club. Dinner will be served and costs $17. Reservations must be made by Wednesday. For more information, or to make reservations, call Pam Harmon at 270-0704 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
