Shaquez Wright had another big night for Silver Bluff (6-1, 2-0 Region 5-AA), and the Bulldogs collected the road win over Wade Hampton (0-7, 0-2). The junior carried the ball 16 times for 191 yards and two touchdowns in the victory, and Myles Corbitt added 126 yards and a score on nine carries.


RJ Stallings and Ladarise Williams also found the end zone for the Bulldogs.


Silver Bluff will hit the road again next week to play region foe Edisto (3-4, 2-0).

Wardlaw (6-0) kept its unbeaten season alive with a home win over Cathedral Academy (5-2) of North Charleston.


Malik Lee was the star of the show again for the Patriots, racking up 236 yards and three touchdowns on 17 carries while catching two passes for 65 yards. The Generals' Christian Rogers outgained him a bit on the ground, though, with 272 yards and four touchdowns on 21 carries.


Ernest Woodward was also key for the home team, rushing for 101 yards and two touchdowns on four carries while catching two passes for 63 yards and another score. Holton Manly completed four of his seven passes for 128 yards and a score for the Patriots. Daylen Morris also got a touchdown of 44 yards on a single carry.


Altogether, the Patriots' rushing attack gained 507 yards on 48 carries with 6 TDs.


Defensively, Kerry Cockrell accumulated 15 tackles and three sacks for Wardlaw which will hit the road next week to play Richard Winn Academy.
