North Augusta at Lexington

Noah Feit: The Yellow Jackets are the superior team, but this is a rivalry and the Wildcats will be pumped up by their homecoming crowd. North Augusta 38, Lexington 21

Jeremy Timmerman: Lexington’s record is a little skewed because of some tough competition. This will be another battle between these two. North Augusta 34, Lexington 28

Scott Rodgers: North Augusta will face a tough test on the road, but with the extra week of preparation they will come out strong. North Augusta 28, Lexington 21

White Knoll at Aiken

Noah: The Hornets are searching for a winning identity and are facing too good of a team to discover it tonight. White Knoll 28, Aiken 14

Jeremy: White Knoll proved itself against a tough Spring Valley team last week. Aiken will have to get a region win elsewhere this season. White Knoll 28, Aiken 13

Scott: White Knoll is a tough test any week, but for a team reeling like Aiken, it’s an even steeper hill to climb. White Knoll 35, Aiken 14

Silver Bluff at Wade Hampton

Noah: The Bulldogs are well past their loss to Strom Thurmond and have control of Region 5-AA and won’t surrender it tonight. Silver Bluff 27, Wade Hampton 14

Jeremy: Wade Hampton is better than its record but also not as good as Silver Bluff, the new No. 3 team in Class AA. Silver Bluff 35, Wade Hampton 6

Scott: The only thing that can get in Silver Bluff’s way this week is a letdown game following last week’s big win. Silver Bluff 28, Wade Hampton 6

Swansea at Midland Valley

Noah: I love what the Mustangs are doing and credit head coach Rick Knight for getting the most out of his players and keeping them motivated. It won’t matter tonight against a tough Tiger squad. Swansea 38, Midland Valley 13

Jeremy: This is a revitalized Midland Valley team, but Swansea is the No. 5 team in all of Class AAA. Expect a spirited home performance from the Mustangs, though. Swansea 41, Midland Valley 20

Scott: It’s great to see Midland Valley playing so well, but the Carrs will get stuck in the driveway this week. Swansea 35, Midland Valley 7

Dutch Fork at South Aiken

Noah: The Thoroughbreds are fielding the team they thought they’d have all season, but it still won’t be enough against another tough opponent. Dutch Fork 38, South Aiken 21

Jeremy: The T-Breds will be at their healthiest since Week Zero, and that’ll be enough for a surprise result over Dutch Fork. South Aiken 34, Dutch Fork 30

Scott: The return of Bo Baldwin should inspire the T-Breds to their best performance of the year, but rust and facing a tough opponent will be their undoing. Dutch Fork 34, South Aiken 21

Airport at Strom Thurmond

Noah: The Eagles don’t have nearly enough firepower to hang with the Rebels. Strom Thurmond 49, Airport 7

Jeremy: Airport has been one of the leaders in this region, but that was before Strom Thurmond moved up. The Rebels will roll. Strom Thurmond 38, Airport 7

Scott: If Strom Thurmond gets caught looking ahead to Swansea it could lose. Head coach Lee Sawyer won’t let that happen. Strom Thurmond 49, Airport 14

Hunter-Kinard-Tyler at Williston-Elko

Noah: This game means more than I imagined just a week ago, but the Blue Devils are good at rising to challenges. Williston-Elko 30, H-K-T 18

Jeremy: Williston-Eko has been at its best in recent years in games like this. H-K-T is fresh off a big win over Blackville-Hilda, but the Blue Devils will snuff out that momentum. Williston-Elko 49, H-K-T 13

Scott: Williston-Elko is firing on all cylinders, and even though H-K-T is no slouch, it may find itself in a big hole early. Williston-Elko 54, H-K-T 6

North at Fox Creek

Noah: The Predators are the better team and as long as their not morally deflated from last week’s loss, or too banged up, it should show with a win. Fox Creek 28, North 22

Jeremy: Fox Creek has a real chance to build some needed confidence tonight against an overmatched North squad. Fox Creek 35, North 7

Scott: Fox Creek won’t be able to overlook North, but it should be able to take care of business. Expect a big game from Trey Mock. Fox Creek 28, North 7

Record: 41-11 (.788)Scott: 42-10 (.808)
