Bravo to the cast and staff of the Aiken Kidney Benefit performance of “The Wizard of Oz.” I have seen and been in many Aiken productions of stage and musical shows since the 1960s, but rarely have I seen a more talented and energetic cast than the one displayed this past weekend. Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tin Man and the Cowardly Lion were magnificent.
The supporting cast, particularly Glenda, the Wicked Witch and Toto, greatly enhanced the enjoyment of the appreciative audience of this Hollywood classic.
The sets, costumes, staging and particularly the choreography of the huge cast of munchkins, trees, winkies, monkeys and ozians were all very well done. Hats off to Bradley Watts and the entire staff and especially the orchestra. This is a must see.
