Aiken Public Safety officers said they caught a group of men red-handed during a burglary at a Fairfield Street home early Monday.
Dawayne Tavoris Nickerson, 22, of Aiken is charged with first-degree burglary.
Allen Thyshawn Johnson, 18, of Aiken is charged with first-degree burglary.
Michael Fuller, 22, of Aiken is charged with first-degree burglary.
Police initially responded to the Fairfield Street home around 1 a.m., when an alarm had been activated.
When officers arrived, they began to search the exterior of the home and found a broken window.
Looking inside the residence, policy said they spotted one man as he attempted to get away from a window and another man who was attempting to escape from the house through another window.
As a result, the officers said they surrounded the home and ordered the suspects outside.
One suspect came outside initially, was handcuffed and detained, police said.
The officers repeatedly ordered the other suspects outside.
After several minutes of additional commands, two other men emerged through the front door, police said.
The officers identified the suspects and charged them.
The men are being held at the Aiken County detention center.
