He is a certified SSI SCUBA diver and active participant in a number of volunteer programs to help raise money for local nonprofits.Rookie of the Year: Officer Matthew BramlettAn officer since October 2008, Bramlett has been horned for both his community commitments and dedication to the department. He has organized and participated in many community and charity fund raisers.Awarded for arresting more than 10 drunken drivers in 2010, Bramlett is also an active member on the Tactical Rescue Team.Officer of the Year: Cpl. Chris CarterBest known for his assignment as a HEAT fifer and honored in 2010 for making more than 25 DUI arrests that year, Carter is active in Mothers Against Drunk Driving victim impact panels and helped organize and coordinate an annual DUI prevention program for fraternities and sororities at USCA.He has served on the departments Collision Reconstruction Tea and also active in fundraising efforts for the American Heart Association.
