Outback Steakhouse is expanding its hours to include Sunday lunch.Beginning Sunday, the restaurant off Whiskey Road will opens its doors three hours earlier at noon to welcome the lunch crowd. Customers will be able to order from the full menu.Manager John Griffin said this is a break from the chain's regular business hours, based solely on customer feedback."We try to listen to our customers and take suggestions on how to better serve them. People would say, 'Why aren't you open for lunch on Sunday?,'" Griffin said. "This is based on our customers. Owner Neil Arbaugh and I said we keep hearing this so we need to do something."Griffin added the restaurant's employees are behind the decision and eager to serve the Sunday lunch crowd, though they will have to come in earlier than usual for food prep since the majority of menu items are made from scratch. They hope word on the change spreads quickly.Menu items include Outback Steakhouse's signature Bloomin' Onion, grilled chicken on the barbie, New Zealand rack of lamb, steaks, seafood and pasta.Outback also offers online ordering. Customers can pick up their orders curbside to take home."We are very lucky to have great community support. We appreciate all the business," Griffin said. Outback Steakhouse is located at 160 Aiken Mall Road and can be reached at 644-4031.
