If you want to see a real salvage yard, take a drive out to Six Points. That is the biggest salvage yard there has ever been in Aiken. Iím sure itís filled with rats and snakes and itís never been written up.
Hopefully, whoever becomes responsible for the Tennis Center at the H. Odell Weeks Activities Center will realize the nighttime lighting is appalling. Decent professional lighting installed would allow larger tournaments to be played by extending play into...
I was not aware that the City of Aiken was going bankrupt before gated communities arrived; but I am aware of the reduced services, higher rates for everything and lack of public access east to west roads ever since.
The issue regarding the proposed penny sales tax is not whether it is more fair to add a penny sales tax or to increase the millage rate, but whether government should have the ability to increase taxes or to create new taxes every time there is a new...
God's laws are the 10 commandants, not the 10 suggestions. Running red lights is a man law. Stealing, adultery, taking a life, not honoring your father and mother and others are the laws from God. Don't judge or throw stones; you may be guilty.

The S.C. Department of Transportation needs to cut back the bushes along the side of the highway. Itís the worst in the state. All the other counties have the trees cut from the side of the roads. In this county, the trees are so close they hit your mirrors.
Iím a state employee and I would love a $12,000 raise. It would help get more qualified people in general. Citizens should vote out every one of these turkeys who said they would support this raise and not give any to state employees.
I think itís just wonderful now that Kathy Rawls is a Republican, and that sheís able to find all of this money in the budget to give County raises with no tax increases. Itís wonderful what Republicans can do.
