Reid's signage is being replaced by the BI-LO logo as the grocer makes its shift.

Bi-Lo Holdings confirmed in May that the Reid's located at 1048 York St., which closed on Saturday, will reopen as Bi-Lo on June 6. On Tuesday morning, crews were switching out the signs.

There are 14 Reid's and BI-LO stores – including the ones in Aiken County – that will soon function under a “Hometown BI-LO” name.

BI-LO Holdings' acquisition of Reid's was part of a deal made in February. The company received approval from the Federal Trade Commission to acquire all of the stores in the Sweetbay, Harvey's and Reid's supermarket chains. The deal was made with the Delhaize Group.
