According to reports provided by the Aiken Department of Public Safety:
A 43-year-old Aiken woman was detained for shoplifting on Wednesday after she tried to take a CD, a DVD and craft items from a store on Richland Avenue without paying.
Two vehicle break-ins were reported on Trolley Line Road on Wednesday. A window was broken in each vehicle. One owner reported a purse missing while the other reported nothing missing.
An additional vehicle break-in was reported on University Parkway on Wednesday. The owner reported a window busted and a backpack containing a laptop computer missing.
Officers responded to an alarm caused by an open door at a home on Senate Drive on Wednesday. Nothing appeared to be disturbed, and officers secured the home before leaving.

A Warrenville man allegedly took his wife’s clothes to the dump because she allegedly took his NASCAR cars from their bedroom.
Three leaf blowers were reported missing from a home on Stevie Seymour Street in North Augusta on Wednesday.
A lawn mower was reported missing from a home on Pine Log Road in Warrenville on Wednesday.
A Wagener man reported identity theft on Wednesday after learning that someone filed for income taxes using his name.
Burglaries were reported on Wednesday on Runs Creek Drive in Jackson, North Silverton Street in Jackson and Laurel Drive in Graniteville.
A vehicle break-in was reported on Jefferson Davis Highway in North Augusta on Wednesday.
A vehicle was reported stolen from Laurie Drive in Beech Island on Wednesday.
