A Beech Island woman reported her purse and its contents stolen after she went to a motel with a man she met earlier that night, according to the Aiken County Sheriff's Office.
The 32-year-old victim told officers she met the suspect for the first time at a diner earlier that night, and they decided to get a motel room “to get to know each other better, sex not being included,” according to the sheriff's report.
When they arrived at the room, the man allegedly wanted to have sex with her, but she told him she was not interested. At that point, the suspect texted two other men to join him at the room with the victim.
Once the other two suspects arrived, they all “chilled” until the victim realized her purse was missing, she told officers. When she asked the suspects about it, they reportedly left the room quickly. The victim tried to stop them from leaving in a vehicle but they accelerated around her, at which point she called police, the report said.
The victim could only provide deputies with limited information on the suspects. She said she never saw the suspects take her purse, but that it was missing sometime between meeting them.
Inside the purse were a $50 “Obama cellphone,” a $900 tablet and about $10 in cosmetics.
